Nusa Ceningan is a small island nestled between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. While smaller in size and far less popular compared to Nusa Lembongan, we actually prefer this island. It’s quieter, there’s less traffic and its nature is more beautiful.
How to get from Bali to Nusa Ceningan
To go from Bali to Nusa Ceningan, you’ll have to take a ferry from Jl. Hang Tuah in Sanur on the main island to Nusa Lembongan first. From there, you can cross the Yellow Bridge to get to Ceningan Island, by scooter or by foot.
The cheapest way to get to Nusa Lembongan is by public boat, which will cost you 150k or 200k IDR. If you prefer to use one of the many ferry services, you’ll pay more but these prices usually include pick up and drop off from your hotel on Bali to your accommodation on Nusa Lembongan.

Top Things to Do on Nusa Ceningan
1. Nusa Ceningan Blue Lagoon
This has to be our favourite spot on the island. The Blue Lagoon is called like that for a reason, as it has the brightest and most colourful blue water we’ve ever seen.
To get to the picturesque Blue Lagoon on Nusa Ceningan, the best way is to drive to Mahana Point first. Before turning right onto the parking of this cliff jumping spot, turn left instead onto a big concrete platform that leads to a big open field. Just go straight until you see the brightly coloured cove.
Unfortunately, the place will lose its peaceful atmosphere, as they are currently building a big resort on the cliffs of the Blue Lagoon.

2. Mahana Point Nusa Ceningan
For the more adventurous and adrenaline seekers, there’s Mahana Point, a popular cliff jumping spot on Nusa Ceningan. You can choose between a 6m or a 10m board to jump from, and afterwards enjoy a few beers during sunset.
3. Secret Beach Nusa Ceningan
I guess it’s not that secret anymore if Secret Beach is one of the top places to visit on Nusa Ceningan, right? But, as the road to get there is a bit tricky, not too many people go there. We were there all by ourselves for quite a long time, so while it’s not that secret, it kind of feels like it’s unknown to many. Secret Beach is located next to a resort where, if you spend at least 100k IDR, you can use the swimming pool to cool down. As the food is relatively expensive, we suggest you visit during lunch time so you can make use of their facilities.

4. Stay the Night at Le Pirate
Le Pirate is a simple beach resort with probably the best food on the island. Everyone gets a small beach hut with an outdoor bathroom to really get into that island feel. The resort has a nice pool, decent Wi-Fi, and is perfectly located.

5. Pool Club Road
Le Pirate Beach Club is only one of the many beach bars that are located on the same road. Other popular destinations are Sea Breeze and The Sand, and are perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

6. Ziplining
Feeling adventurous? Located near the Driftwood Bar hotel, you can now fly above the cliffs of Nusa Ceningan.
7. Yellow Bridge
The Insta-famous bridge and your gateway between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.
